What is the Smart Capsule?
It is a small capsule attached to a thin tube, similar in size to a vitamin pill. Once the capsule has reached the stomach, it is injected through this tube. The capsule remains in the stomach for four months.
How does it work?
After the patient swallows this capsule with a glass of water, a special liquid is injected into the capsule through a thin tube, occupying space in the stomach and taking on the shape of a balloon – the volume of which can be adjusted by the doctor.
